Nevada State College Sustainability Council

Nevada State College is committed to protecting the environment and reducing our dependence on nonrenewable energy sources. We strive to BE RESPONSIBLE by constructing, maintaining, and renovating our buildings in a manner that is both environmentally sensitive and economically feasible. Our campus master plan provides the framework for ongoing expansion so the community will continue to enjoy and effectively use our thoughtful, low-impact spaces for years to come.

Across the country, everyday Americans are joining Climate Reality chapters and working together for practical climate solutions and demanding a just transition in communities from sea to shining sea.  These friends, neighbors, and colleagues are bringing clean energy to their towns, advocating for ambitious federal climate policies in the United States, standing strong in opposition to petrochemical development projects, and so much more. Most of all, they’re working together to make a real difference for our planet where it matters – and you can too!  Join a Climate Reality chapter today.

EDF Action

EDF Action, the advocacy partner of the Environmental Defense Fund, builds transformative political power to help protect our environment and the health of American families. We work with a broad range of allies all across the country to combat climate change, reduce pollution and promote sustainable prosperity.  This means educating legislators about new innovative solutions, working across the aisle to build political momentum, mobilizing constituents to advocate for our health and environment, and working to elect pro-environment candidates while holding anti-environment politicians accountable.
